Howlett Hill Fire Department

Our mission is straight forward:  Use the latest technologies and training to deliver effective, efficient and cost justified fire and emergency services to the residents of our Fire Protection District.  Be prepared to offer assistance to our neighboring Fire districts as needed.

Howlett Hill Fire Department

The Howlett Hill Fire Department (HHFD), founded in 1948, serves the residential and rural community in the North-West portion of the Town of Onondaga in Central New York.  The Fire District is mostly all served by hydrant delivered water with good water pressure given the hilly terrain within which the District resides.

The HHFD responds to approximately 500 alarms a year including a mix of emergency medical, motor vehicle accidents and structure fires.

The membership drills every Monday evening at 19:00 (7:00PM) at our fire station located at 3384 Howlett Hill Road.  We take training very seriously, it is key in assuring our preparedness to respond and perform, and to assure we all return home safely.  If you are interested in joining the department, feel free to attend a Monday evening meeting, or call the Fire Station or click on the “Join Us” link in the left side margin.
